Hi everybody! I'm finally getting around to writing another blog. Last weekend Emily and I went home for the first time since we've been married. It was sort of weird to go back. It didn't make it any easier that we went to a friends wedding and there was a bunch of high school people there. That was sort of lame in my mind since I really didn't like many people from high school.
This week was sort of interesting. Emily and I are officially extras in a Lakeland TV commerical that will air on the morning and nightly news in August. Look for us on the news! We were basically those blury people you see in the background on commercials. That same day our old white car died in the Lakeland parking lot. That was very stressful for us. We considered having it towed, giving it a junk yard or selling it to Tyler. In the end I managed to get it running again.
Yesterday, July 26th we were fed up with the stupid white car and decided to go car shopping. We stopped at a few places in Sheboygan and finally ended up at Lakeland Auto. I should point out that we have been looking for cars the past month and last night was by no means a spur of the moment thing. At Lakeland Auto we found a 2003 Ford Focus ZTS with only 19,000 miles on it. To me this sounded crazy, that a 4 year old car would only have 19,000 miles on it. Hell some people put that many on in one year. We took it for a test drive and really liked it. I should also mention that it is a four door Focus and not one of those weird shaped 2 door wagons or 5 door hatch backs.
4 hours later after dozens of papers filled out and almost not finding the title to my old white car, we finally have a new car. It's sort of exciting for me since the first car I ever bought was only $900 and the second one I bought was $1,600 so I've never actually owned a nice car. I think this car should last us a real long time considering its low miles and smaller engine size. It is also great on miles per gallon with about 34. It has a really nice sound system in it as well which is weird for a factory system. If you want to check out a few pictures of it make sure to view my photo gallery.
We ended up trading in the white car. I will say that I will miss my old crappy 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix. That was basically my college years car. The thing I won't be missing on it is the annual alternator failure and all the other problems that it gave me. It feels nice to have two cars that I don't need to worry about driving long distances with and breaking down.
Well that is all for now, make sure to leave a few comments on this post or on the photo gallery images letting me know what you think!
